Urban Backyard Oasis

We designed and installed a modern oasis for a tiny backyard in downtown Washington DC. The client was having intense drainage issues with water flowing from her neighbor’s higher yards. We installed a large French drain around the perimeter of her yard, leveled the entire area, laid a patio and path to her carport using recycled pavers, planted turf, raised the grade around the existing tree to protect its roots, installed a small raised bed for an herb garden and laid gravel around the perimeter.
